Police: Tennessee man fatally shoots wife, daughters, self

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Police say a Tennessee man shot his wife and two daughters before calling police and shooting himself.

Metro Nashville Police Department spokesperson Brooke Reese told news outlets that a 6-year-old girl, a 13-year-old girl, and the couple died from Friday’s shooting in Goodlettsville.

Reese said the man called 911 and told dispatchers he had shot the three.

She says an off-duty officer near the scene went to the home and attempted to talk to the man but then heard a single gunshot.

Reese said the man and one child were pronounced dead at the scene and the woman and another child died later.
