Area Children Gather for “Trunk-or-Treat”

Thousands of ghosts and goblins took part in Jackson-Madison County’s 4th Annual Trunk of Treat, Monday evening. Everyone from the THP to JEA donated their time and equipment allowing children the chance to fill their bags will all sorts of candy and goodies. The event was capped off by a helicopter landing, bringing candy to all the children. Organizers said nearly 7,000 children from all across West Tennessee come out to the event each year, which offers parents a safer alternative to traditional trick-or-treating.
