JFD Fights Fire on Forest Avenue

Jackson fire investigators believe the cause of a sudden house fire in east Jackson was accidental. Four crews responded to the smoke-filled scene along East Forest Avenue near Northside Drive around 1:30, Wednesday afternoon. Although the investigation is on-going officials believe overheated electrical wiring started the fire. The home suffered a significant amount of smoke and water damage inside, while the outside of the home was damaged by the fire’s intense heat. It took crews about 30 minutes to put out the fire. Luckily, non one was injured.
