Shooting at Apartment Complex on North Highland
Jackson Police were busy investigating the broad daylight shooting, blamed for sending a 19-year-old man to the hospital, in critical condition. The shooting happened in the 3200 block of North Highland at an apartment complex around 1, Wednesday afternoon. Witnesses said the victim was rushed to a local hospital to be treated for multiple gunshot wounds. “We have detained three people, one we believe to be the shooter, said Lt. Tyreece Miller of the Jackson Police Department. “They were arrested in the 200 block of Moise Cut-Off Road, right now we don’t know a motive, but we’ll be investigating to determine exactly what happened.” Although there is no immediate connection, officers are investigating if the shooting is linked to an earlier incident of fighting at North Side High School.
