Weakley Co. Attorney Disbarred

A longtime Weakley County attorney has been disbarred by order of the Tennessee Supreme Court. According to a news release, Attorney Harry Max Speight, of Martin, was convicted of conspiracy to make false statements and defraud the government, aiding and abetting such action, which is a violation of rules of the supreme court. Speight was also ordered to pay the expenses and cost of disciplinary proceedings against him.
