Authorities said three men face charges after they burglarized a string of residents and businesses and sold the goods across three counties. “A couple of days before we opened up down here, we came down and saw that the back door was broken into,” said David Thacker, owner of Thacker’s Deer Processing in Bethel Springs, where authorities said a meat dehydrator and a smoker were stolen. “I figured that was awful brave of him considering we have a lot of hunters come in here that may have some guns on them.” he adds. Officers charged Dillon Russom, 19, with aggravated burglary, burglary, theft over $1000 and vandalism. Along with Russom, they charged Dillon Allen, 19, with aggravated criminal trespassing, theft of property and vandalism. Police said a 17-year old juvenile will face charges, but may be charged as an adult. Officials said all three are from the Bethel Springs area. Authorities said the trio was responsible for a burglary which occurred in the 1900 block of Masseyville Road in Bethel Springs, where they allegedly stole two laptops, a flat-screen television and a camera. They said they burglarized a hunting cabin on Forty Forks Road in Bethel Springs where a two four-wheelers were stolen. Officials said the suspects are responsible for the theft of a boat motor which was stolen from Chester County. “A person overheard a conversation of some young people talking about a theft of a boat motor,” said Investigator Robert Hitchborn with the McNairy County Sheriff’s Department. Investigator Hitchborn said that tip led to an investigation which would uncover the burglary string which revealed the men sold the good to people across Hardeman, McNairy and Chester Counties. Investigator Hitchborn said most of the items have been recovered. He said they are working to recover more items and more arrest would follow. If you bought items from the three, you are urged to call McNairy County Sheriff’s Department at (731) 645-1004.
