Arvin Sango Opens in Henderson

Employees of a new factory in Chester County got a chance to showcase their products and facility in an open house grand opening today. The Arvin Sango plant in Henderson began production of exhaust systems in June. The 19 employees supply the systems for the new Toyota Corolla plant in Blue Springs, Mississippi. They currently send out about 100 products a day from the plant, but when they get into full swing, they will be making as many as 614 a day. Corporate officials said they have been very impressed with the plant’s progress. “Toyota did some audits here because a brand new plant, it always makes them nervous when there’s a new plant and they were just astounded by the efficiency and the quality of this plant was producing at such an early time so it’s been a very good project for us so far,” said manufacturing Vice President Scott Hubbard. Henderson was chosen out of 15 other cities to be the main exhaust system supplier for the Mississippi Toyota plant. They plan on beginning full production in March.
