Teacher Settles Sex Charge Claim
A former principal at a school in western Kentucky who was accused of having sex with a minor has pleaded guilty to lesser charges.
Allison M. Brant, who is 33, was originally charged with third-degree rape and third-degree sodomy, but entered a plea on Tuesday in Daviess Circuit Court to four counts of unlawful transaction with a minor, the Messenger-Inquirer reported (http://bit.ly/tXapgn). She had been scheduled to go to trial next week.
The agreement calls for her to be sentenced to two years in prison. Her sentencing date was set for Dec. 19.
Brant had been principal at St. Mary of the Woods school in Whitesville.
