Missing Benton County Man Found

One Benton County family can county their blessings this Thanksgiving weekend for the safe return of their loved one who went missing two days ago. Just after 6:30 , Friday evening, the Benton County Sheriff’s Department told 7 Eyewitness News they found Gerald Elkins, 73, in the northern part of Benton County near Granny’s Branch. The community, including family members, neighbors and family members from Georgia met to search for Elkins, who suffers from a mil;d form of AlzheImer’s disease and went missing the day before Thanksgiving. Teams searched side roads in Benton, Henry and surrounding counties for him. Investigators said Elkins is alright and was taken to an area hospital for observation.
