Kayakers Missing In Hamilton County
A search has begun in Hamilton County after three young kayakers failed to return home.
Amy Maxwell of the Hamilton County emergency services department said in a news release Monday morning that several response agencies had begun searching in the Pocket Wilderness.
Searchers are looking for three men in their early to mid-20s who did not return home Sunday night after kayaking in the rugged recreation area. Their names were not immediately released.
The National Weather Service had recorded just over 4 inches of rain in Chattanooga from early Sunday through 10 a.m. Monday.
