White Pleads Guilty

A guilty plea has been made by the man charged in the death of a young girl who died after being thrown from a horse she was riding when it collided with a truck. According to the Madison County Sheriff”s Department, Richard Alan White, 28, appeared in court Monday and pleaded guilty to reckless vehicular homicide, tampering with evidence, leaving the scene of an accident, driving on a revoked license and simple possession of marijuana. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison. On May 31, White admitted to crashing his truck into two horses while driving in the 200 block of Diamond Grove Road. Amber Kendrick, 12, was riding one of the horses and died from her injuries. Two other men who were riding were not seriously hurt.
