Woman Charged in Weekend Stabbing

A woman is now facing charges in the Friday night stabbing of her boyfriend. According to Jackson police, Terrace Kidd, 40, is charged with aggravated assault and filing a false police report. She was arraigned Tuesday morning in Jackson City Court and is free on $10,000 bond On Friday around 7:00 p.m., Jackson police responded to the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital concerning a stabbing. Investigators said Kidd, told police that her boyfriend had left walking from the home they shared on Howlett Cove. He later returned with a stab wound to the chest and she drove him to the emergency room. However, while searching the area, police reported finding a knife in the front yard of the Howlett Cove home. Investigators peered through the window and saw broken items inside. After obtaining a search warrant, authorities said they entered the home and observed what appeared to be a crime scene. Investigators re-questioned Kidd and she reportedly admitted that she and her boyfriend had an argument. She attempted to leave, he grabbed her and she stabbed him once in the chest with a knife. She then drove him to the hospital. The victim remains in extremely critical condition at a local hospital. Kidd’s next scheduled court appearance is January 23 in City Court.
