Danny Moore is the owner “We would like to hire as many local people as we can. We expect some of these employees probably will come from Madison County, Dyer County and surrounding counties. But we would prefer to hire people from Crockett County.” The jobs pay between $10 and $20 an hour. Jimmy Shebesh started working for Moore Pumps a little over a year ago after serving two tours in Iraq. Veterans hired here are started with full benefits. “For Crockett County this is about as fine as it gets if you want to stay here at home. This is the best place I have found to work,” said Shebesh. In 1984, Danny Moore started his business with only $700 in his pocket. His business is now worth millions. The 30,000 square foot facility is in need of new workers. “A good machinist, we would like to see a resume they can mail in a resume to our address here or they could just drop it off here at our location 9842 Highway 412 in Friendship” Moore Pumps does business with 55 countries including China. They also do a lot of work for the United States Navy.
