McNairy County officials said a thief who they said is responsible for several thefts is now in custody. “A lot of the burglaries showed similarities in patterns,” said Sheriff Guy Buck of McNairy County. Authorities said they arrested Casey Lynn Redmon, 24, of Bethel Springs, Thursday, December 29. Sheriff Buck said Redmon burglarized nine businesses in McNairy County between the first week in December and last week. “I think it’s pretty crazy myself,” said Harlan Collins, a McNairy County resident. Investigators said Redmon is a convicted felon who is on probation for burglary. “Most of the people they’re on what’s called (a) searchable probation,” said Sheriff Buck. He said officers went to arrest Redmon at his home in the 100 block of Walker Street in Bethel Springs, Thursday, for violation on probation. Sheriff Buck said the searchable probation allowed his officers to search Redmon’s home where they found stolen property. “The night of the 28th there was a burglary not far from our suspects (Redmon) house,” said Sheriff Buck. He said Redmon confessed to stealing the property and then said he stored it at a family members house where it was later recovered by authorities. Officers said they have charged Redmon with three counts of burglary and violation of probation. Sheriff Buck said Redmon is due in court for the violation of probation charge on January 6. He said a judge will hear the burglary cases on January 26. Authorities said Redmon remains in the McNairy County Jail without bond.
