JPD Cruiser Involved in Wreck

A Jackson police officer had to use her own car to stop a vehicle after it collided with another on the Highway 45 Bypass, Friday afternoon. The wreck along the 45 Bypass at Max Lane happened just before 3:30 p.m. Investigators said it appears one of the cars was driving north in the emergency lane when it collided with another car. Police Officer Peaches Nesbitt was in the area, and we are told, had to use her own cruiser to stop one of the cars that was unable to stop on its own. No one was seriously injured. It is unclear what charges will be filed.
