Pepper Faces Federal Charges in Salon Robbery

The Kentucky woman who sparked a shoot out with a trooper last September in Henderson County has been charged with new federal counts. Christl Pepper, who already faces weapons counts has been indicted on two additional federal charges in connection with the robbery of Salon Effects, a Paris hair salon. The robbery occured about a month before a shoot out along Interstate 40, where investigators said Pepper’s passenger and boyfriend, Robert Cunningham, 50, opened fire on Trooper Dwayne Stanford. Cunningham died in the exchange.
