The cause of the fire that lit up a cold November night and brought so much heartache to Adamsville has been revealed. “It was an electrical short about six inches away from an electrical outlet is where the wire had shorted and that is what had caused the fire,” said Jim Cromwell of the Adamsville Fire Department. Toasters were found in the area where the fire started. “The piece that shorted was brighter and shiny compared to either side of it was dull and that is how they found it,” said Cromwell. The move down the street is not an easy one. Workers are putting in ten hour shifts, six days a week all to get ready for the April opening. “We have had so much feedback posted on Facebook. The other day we had started the construction process and one lady responded, wow we have a chance to have Sunday brunch in Adamsville,” said Randy Gieger, owner of the Saw Meal. The new Saw Meal is located on Main Street next to the Hardin County line. The former location of the Country Butcher Shop. “We are tearing everything out to re-do every thing to get ready to open,” said Gieger. The Saw Meal will be smaller. You could seat 340 people at the old restaurant. This restaurant will seat 250 people. “We are going to try to make it as old fashioned as we can but still have our modern twist of what we had at the old Saw Meal where it was pleasing to the eye, ” said Gieger.
