Union University’s School of Social Work presents “Human Trafficking: Seeing –> Responding”
Human Trafficking is the second largest and fastest growing crime in the world. Yet many are unaware of its existence, or the scope of the issue. The purpose of this conference is to educate participants about human trafficking occurring in Tennessee. There are sessions discussing current efforts to end human trafficking in Tennessee from the view of law enforcement, community advocates, and survivor aftercare organizations. Conference will benefit social workers, community agency workers, law enforcement, the faith community, and students. The conference will close with a highlight of survivor testimonies and a discussion of a successful model of integration. Pre-registration required. Discount rate for students. 5.5 CEU’s available.
