A Madison County grand jury decided Monday that a Jackson man accused of trying to kill his wife’s boyfriend will stand trial. Edgar Hernandez, 24, has been on six charges, including attempted first degree murder. He is accused of first threatening to kill the 25-year-old man through texts last September. Officers said after sending the message, Hernandez went to a house in south Jackson and stabbed him several times. He is also charged with assaulting another woman and his wife. Hernandez remains jailed and is being investigated by immigration officials.
