Man Charged with Statutory Rape

A South Madison County man is facing charges of rape of a teenage boy. Jackson Police said Andrae Stewart, 34, of Medon surrendered Tuesday morning after a warrant for his arrest was issued. Stewart was arraigned in city court on three counts of aggravated statutory rape involving a 14-year-old between 2010 and 2011. The judge ordered he have no contact with the victim. He is free on a $2,500 bond pending his next court appearance on March 15. Stewart was arrested after a joint investigation by JPD and the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services.
