A Jackson man accused of attacking two Lane College coeds last year was convicted of robbing one of them. Tuesday, a Madison County jury found Marquon Green, 22, guilty of aggravated robbery. In February of last year, investigators said Green was armed when he approached the student on campus as she got into her car, stealing her purse. Two days later, he was charged with robbing and raping another Lane student. He is scheduled to go on trial in that case on May 1. Green remains jailed pending his March 12 sentencing for Tuesday’s conviction. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
