Man Accidentally Shoots Himself in the Hand

A shooting outside a west Jackson sporting goods store early Tuesday afternoon has been deemed an accident by police. Officers said the victim told them he was sitting outside Gander Mountain on Vann Drive just before 2 p.m. when his gun went off. He suffered a shot to the hand and was able to drive himself to the hospital. Foul play is not suspected.
