Voter Registration Deadline Monday

If you ar not registered to vote and plan to vote in the upcoming presidential primary in Tennessee, time is running out to sign up. Madison County Election officials said the registration deadline for the March Republican primary is Monday. Also, for the first time voters will have to show a photo ID in order to cast a ballot. You can register to vote at the Election Commission office in you county and a number of other governmental agencies such as county clerk’s offices, driver’s license testing centers and all post offices. To register to vote, you must be age 18, a U.S. citizen, a resident of the county where you plan to vote and not have been convicted of a felony. For additional information, contact the County Election Commission office in your home county. The presidential primary in Tennessee is March 6.
