Several DUI Arrests Made Super Bowl Weekend
While Eli Manning mounted a drive for the ages, several Crockett County drivers should have left the keys at home. “Super Bowl weekend a lot of people in law enforcement will consider that to be a major holiday because a lot of times there is a lot of DUI arrests that come off the Super Bowl weekend,” said Detective Allan Gilliland of the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department. Shortly after the Giants Celebrated a Super Bowl win. Nenad Durkovic was arrested in Crockett County and charged with DUI and possession of Marijuana. Last year in Crockett County during Super Bowl weekend there were no DUI arrests. This year during Super Bowl weekend there were five. “DUI is one of our main concerns you know on the patrol division we have a lot of fatalities that are contributed to DUIs. A lot of other injuries,” said Gilliland. In addition to the five DUI arrests, David Beaird, 28, was arrested this past weekend. He faces three different drug charges. “We had a pretty active weekend,” said Gilliland. A pretty active weekend that also included the arrest of Timothy Hodge. He was charged with public intoxication.
