Couple Charged with Insurance Fraud

A Jackson couple is in custody after police said they claimed a burglary took place in their home that did not. Jerry and Debra Graves have been charged with filing a false report and filing fraudulent insurance claims. According to police, the couple filed a report of a burglary at their home in December, claiming property damage and that several items had been stolen. Authorities said investigators later found some of the items that had been reported stolen still in the couple’s home and at other property they owned. Both are scheduled for arraignment February 8 in General Session Court.
