Preparing Vehicles for Winter Weather

JACKSON Tenn.- Officials are urging West Tennesseans to prepare their vehicles for the possibility of winter weather. WBBJ 7 Eyewitness news spoke with Chip Littrell at Golden Circle Ford who said everyone needs to check their windshield wipers, oil, fluids, and tires before hitting the roads. “There is no limitation on how prepared you can be for any kind of weather or winter storm that might come in,” he said. West Tennesseans are taking the threat of dangerous driving conditions seriously. “We got new windshield wipers in the front and back, and we regularly check our tires,” driver Ray Kemp said. Officials said your car’s tires could be the difference between life and death. “If you take the time to buy some tires it might save you some bumpers, save you some body shop bills in the future, but more importantly it might save your life,” said Littrell. Officials said the best way to stay safe if winter weather hits, is to stay off the roads as much as possible.
