Pollard Faces Attempted Murder Charge after Break-in

A man has been arrested in Obion County, accused of breaking into a man’s home and attacking him with a knife when he returned. Michael Jason Pollard faces a charge of attempted first degree murder and aggravated burglary in the Sunday attack. Court documents indicated after breaking in, Pollard waited for the man to return home and slashed him when he walked in with a large hunting knife. During the fight the victim,who was not seriously hurt, was able to call 911. Deputies said they are still trying to determine how the two men knew each other.
