Foul Play Ruled Out In Horse Death
Authorities have ruled out poisoning in the deaths of seven horses in Maury County.
Sheriff’s Detective Terry Chandler said one of the carcasses was sent to a state agriculture laboratory and tests for poison came back negative, The Daily Herald reported Thursday (http://bit.ly/wDtRBC).
LeeAnn LeMaster said on Feb. 12 she found six mares and a stallion dead within 50 feet of each other. Three other horses were unharmed.
Chandler said the horses appeared to be well cared for and foul play is not suspected.
