Man Who Attempted to Run Over Police Officers Indicted

The Jackson man accused of trying to run over two police officers after a chase last fall was indicted Monday in Madison County. Gary Allen Jordan now faces trial on two counts of aggravated assault and felony evading arrest. On October 26, officers said Jordan led them on a high-speed chase through east Jackson before trying to run them over. He was arrested three weeks later in Middle Tennessee. Jordan remains jailed in Madison County in lieu of $100,000 bond. His next court appearance is next Monday.
