TDOT Preps For Bristol Traffic

State transportation “help trucks” will be in the Tri-Cities this weekend to assist with heavy traffic expected for NASCAR races Saturday and Sunday at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Four lime-yellow trucks from the Tennessee Department of Transportation in Knoxville will be available to do a variety of functions from clearing stalled cars to changing flat tires. The trucks are four-wheel drive and equipped with push bumpers, emergency work lights, air compressors and other tools.

“Help trucks” are also used in Chattanooga, Nashville and Memphis.
