A big honor was announced Friday for St. Mary’s Catholic School in West Jackson. It has been named the number one school in the Memphis diocese. The Memphis Catholic School diocese ranks each of its schools using a scorecard that measures things such as a school’s financial strength, student services, academic performance and parent and parishioner support. St Mary’s is a pre-K through 8th grade school school with an enrollment of 300 students.
