Memphis Students Treated after Downing Vodka

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Memphis police say students at Cordova Middle School became sick after drinking what they thought was lemonade, but turned out to be vodka. Police spokeswoman Sgt. Alyssa Macon-Moore told The Commercial Appeal that officers were called to the school. The Memphis Fire Department sent three ambulances, but no one was transported. Macon-Moore says seven girls, two were 13 and the others 14, received summonses to Juvenile Court for possession of alcoholic beverages on school property and were released to their parents.
