Calhoun County, MS Man Charged with Murder
Calhoun County Sheriff Greg Pollan says a 29-year-old man has been charged in the death of a neighbor. Pollan says 29-year-old Andy Nichols Brown is charged with murder in the slaying of Earlie B. Balford. He says the body of the 68-year-old Balford was found by deputies about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in his home on Mississippi Highway Nine south of Pittsboro. Pollan says a preliminary investigation shows Balford was repeatedly stabbed with a screwdriver.
