MS Auto Theft Ring Bust
Jackson County authorities say Porsche, Lexus, Hummer and Land Rover are just a few of the luxury cars and sport utility vehicles three men are accused of conspiring to steal in an auto-theft ring based in Jackson County. Sheriff Mike Byrd says the suspects allegedly stole at least twenty-five vehicles, valued close to $1 million. The two accused of stealing the cars are Donald Russell Dunlap of Ocean Springs, and Randall Louis Moilanen of the St. Martin community. Investigators believe the men stored the vehicles on the property of Treneal Williams of Moss Point. The men were arrested on a conspiracy charge. Dunlap and Moilanen also face multiple counts of auto theft, and Williams faces sixteen counts of possession of stolen property.
