TN Professor Presents Al Qaida Strategy
An East Tennessee State University professor who specializes in the sociology of global terrorism has suggested a campaign to stress al-Qaida’s violations of jurisprudence. Dr. Paul Kamolnick has published a monograph commissioned and published by the Strategic Studies Institute of the United States War College in Carlisle, Pa. According to a news release from ETSU, it is being distributed to high-level policy makers in Congress, the Pentagon and elsewhere. In the document, he suggests a campaign that attacks al-Qaida in the eyes of potential recruits. He proposes a “messaging campaign” about catastrophic damage done by al-Qaida to the Islamic cause. Further, Kamolnick urges a willingness to appraise U.S. policies in the Muslim world. He is a professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.
