Investigators Recover Stolen Items, Find Apparent Meth Lab

A search of a Weakley County couple’s home suspected of stealing from their neighbor turned up more than just stolen property. Investigators said when they searched Scotty Hopper and Amy Jett’s house on Chestnutt Glade Road, they found items that were reported stolen, such as fishing equipment and jewelry and uncovered and active meth lab. Each faces charges of aggravated burglary, theft and two meth counts. Officers said this is the seventh meth lab cleaned up by the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department this year.
