City Employees on Leave for Sexting Scandal
Two Mt. Juliet city employees have been placed on administrative leave as part of an investigation into sexually explicit messages and photos being sent over city-issued cell phones and computers. Those placed on leave are Mt. Juliet Police Sgt. James Crosslin and his wife, Charlene Crosslin, who works in the city finance department. Court documents show they separated within the past two months. Interim City Manager Kenny Martin said the explicit messages go back to at least 2010. He said detectives are exploring the possibility of criminal wrongdoing. Martin declined to elaborate on the criminal aspect of the investigation. Officials say three other employees are part of the probe but remain on duty.
