Gardner Arraigned on Rape Charge

A suspected rapist remains in jail after his arraignment , Thursday. Roy Gardner, Junior, 37, of Jackson, appeared in General Sessions Court on charges of two counts of rape, along with charges of false imprisonment and aggravated domestic assault. Gardner turned himself into the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, Wednesday morning after his name and picture were released to the media. He is accused in the attack of a 38-year-old woman in west Madison County last weekend. He is being held on a $250,000 bond.
