City Officials Host Voter Registration Workshop

The Voter Registration Network hosted a workshop for area residents Saturday. The event, held at J&J Sports Lounge, was a training session for people who want to help get voters registered in Madison County. “One of the basic rights that we have as U.S. citizens is being able to vote and if you are not able to vote then you have lost your most basic right,” said organizer Susan Bond. The Voter Registration Network is a non-partisan network of voter registration teams organized in Jackson and Madison County which includes community organizations, religious groups, non-profits, neighborhood associations, and other citizen groups.
