Bake Sale for Chief Garrett
7 Eyewitness News has learned that a little more than $2,000 was raised by friends of Friendship Police Chief Bill Garrett. They held a bake sale at the Friendship Bank this morning to help the family with medical expenses. Chief Garrett was shot during a robbery attempt at the Dollar General store in Friendship last week. Officials said Garrett was struggling with the suspect when he was shot. Chief Garrett is scheduled to be home from the hospital as soon as next week.
