Martin Police Investigate Weekend Shooting

A man is recovering, after police said he was shot in the back Sunday night. Investigators in Martin said the shooting happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Old Fulton Road and Lakeview Circle. When police arrived at the scene, they said they found more than a dozen shell casings, and have not made any arrests. Residents said they are relieved even more people were not injured. “I have two sons and a daughter, my mailbox is right there, and my apartment is right there, and I do know my son rides his bike all the time at night, and I thank God we weren’t home last night because it could have been one of them,” said Lakeview Circle resident Cecelia Mack.
