Remains Found in Trailer
NEW AUGUSTA, Miss. (AP) – A Perry County woman who had been the object of a search after a badly decomposed body was discovered Friday at the trailer home she shared with her husband has been found. Sheriff Jimmy Dale Smith tells the Hattiesburg American 64-year-old Margaret Campbell was found in Wiggins about 9 p.m. Saturday and was being interviewed by Perry County investigators. Smith said investigators are interviewing Campbell in the hopes of shedding more light on the fate of her 74-year-old husband, Robert. The sheriff said the couple lived in the Janice community. Smith said the body appeared to be that of a white male, but because of its advanced stage of decomposition, he said identification prior to autopsy was near impossible. Smith said autopsy results are expected Monday.
