Man Accused of Trying to Kill Two Women

JACKSON, Tenn. – A man is behind bars accused of trying to kill his girlfriend and another woman in front of two young children. According to court documents, Obrian Belliford, 51, is charged with two counts of attempted murder, four counts of reckless endangerment and unlawful possession of a firearm with intent to go armed. Investigators believe Belliford fired a gun at the two women inside a home in the 300-block of East Deadrick Street, Sunday morning. The women reportedly told officers that Belliford shot at them as they tried to get him to leave. Police said that a four-month-old and a six-month-old were in the house at the time of the alleged shooting. Belliford‘s bond was set at $150,000. He remains jailed at the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex.
