According to a news release, the services had previously been operating at an immense loss which was costing taxpayers, all while experiencing a large increase of calls following the closure of the Decatur County General Hospital.
The release states the county is one of many rural areas that has seen a rise in the death rate in the community.
Now, officials with BradenHealth say they will be improving the county’s EMS services as they work to reopen the former hospital.
Based out of North Carolina, BradenHealth operates hospitals and clinics throughout the country and specializes in saving struggling rural facilities.
They moved into Tennessee in 2020 after purchasing the Henderson County Community Hospital, which was slated for closure at the time.
