Family Pet Killed in Jackson House Fire

JACKSON, Tenn. – A family pet is dead after a fire damaged a home near downtown Jackson, Sunday morning. Homeowners said they were in church, and gone for only an hour, when they heard that their house was on fire. No one was hurt in the blaze, but the owner said her four-month-old puppy was killed. The fire battalion chief on scene told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News there was moderate fire damage to the home. Firefighters got there just in time to keep the flames from getting out of control. No cause for the fire has been determined.
