One Jailed in Connection with Pistol Whipping

JACKSON, Tenn.- A fight over a jacket has landed a Jackson man behind bars. Police said Shantwan McCarty approached his girlfriend, who was wearing his jacket, near Fairgrounds Street and Airways Boulevard. When she refused to give the jacket to him, she told officers he pistol whipped her. McCarty is facing charges of aggravated domestic assault.
