Perry County Woman Charged with TennCare Fraud

LINDEN, Tenn.- A Perry County woman has been indicted in Lewis County, accused of using her TennCare benefits to go to several doctors in a short period of time in an effort to get prescriptions medicine. Allyson Hinson, 31, of Linden faces two counts of TennCare fraud. Investigators said she visited a number of doctors in a 30-day period, receiving prescriptions for the painkiller, hydrocodone each time. If convicted, she could face two years in prison for each charge.
