Man Convicted in 2011 Child Rape Case
JACKSON, Tenn.- It took a Madison County grand jury just an hour to convict a Jackson man of raping and inappropriately touching a 9-year-old girl. Jonathon Henderson, 41, was found guilty of rape of a child and aggravated sexual battery in connection with a 2011 incident. He faces up to 37 years in prison when he is sentenced, March 11. Henderson had been free on $75,000 bond, but was taken into custody as soon as the verdict was read. Tennessee does not allow early release from prison for either of his crimes.
