Sunrise: October 21, 1977 Sunset: January 28, 2025 Michael Lamont Turner, age 47, passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2025, at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital, in Jackson, TN. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the Holy Deliverance Church with Pastor Dwight Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Brownsville, TN. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, at the Holy Deliverance Church. Michael was born on October 21, 1977. He dedicated much of his life to his career as a Production Worker and Forklift Operator at Cascades Tissue Group in Brownsville, TN. He approached his work with diligence and dedication, earning the respect of his colleagues and supervisors alike. Known for his incredible love for family and friends, Michael valued the close relationships he built throughout his life. He is survived by his parents, Willie and Doris Mabon of Brownsville, TN. He leaves behind a son, Michael D. Turner, and is also survived by his brother, MacGyver Mabon, and three sisters: Monica Turner Odeneal, Crystal Turner, and Masherra Mabon. Michael was excitedly anticipating the arrival of his first grandchild. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Michael Turner. Pallbearers for the service are Deron Mays, Demond Mays, Darren Taylor, Marstacyo Johnson, Edward Turner and Dejuan Fane. Honorary Pallbearers are Marcus Currie, Kevin Morton, Cory Jelks, Xavier Odeneal, Robert Pirtle, Brandon Hill, Jeremiah Taylor, Maurice Matthews and Brad Davis. Michael will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
