Controversial Slurs Graffittied in Dyer Co. School

ABC 7 Eyewitness News saw “Gay Pride” and “No Homo” painted just outside the football field at Dyer County High School. Students said more slurs painted inside the school. Principal Peggy Dodds said the situation is being dealt with, leaving nothing but rumblings for those people not on campus. “It’s a bunch of hearsay, they got mad at the teachers they were discriminating against them,” said Lee Patrick a Dyer County High school graduate. That’s just childish that’s really childish, that’s going to cost the school money to clean it up,” said Revekah Price, also a Dyer County High School graduate. Superintendent Dwight Hedge said the situation is still under investigation but, the people responsible for the damage will be prosecuted.
